Support Wessex Cancer Trust by taking part in the Starlit Trail 2020

The Starlit Trial, a 5km moonlit walk around Winchester to raise money for Wessex Cancer Trust, is taking place on Friday 2nd October at 7pm.

We’re proud to say that ONLE Networking is supporting the Starlit Trail as start/finish sponsors, joining fellow sponsors Trethowans and Brewin Dolphin.

The walk, which starts and finishes in Winchester city centre, includes entertainment areas and treats provided at key stages. As well as creating wonderful memories and helping the cause, each participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt.  This year, social distancing rules based on the recent “rule of six” guidance will be adhered to (read how the event will be kept safe here).

Last year 200 people took part in event, raising £15,000 which was then used to support local families living with cancer. Tickets are £15 for adults and £10 per child with a sponsorship goal of £100 per person.

“It’s been a particularly tough time for cancer patients and the charities who support them, but what’s remained constant is how the power of communities can change lives.” says Steve Brine, MP for Winchester and Chandler’s Ford.  “It’s fantastic that Wessex Cancer Trust is hosting physical events again and that they’re bringing the feelgood factor to Winchester. Its Starlit Trail was a huge success last year, so please join them if you can.”

Kelly West, co-founder of ONLE Networking, says that like many, cancer has deeply affected her life and was therefore delighted to be able to support the event. “2020 has been hard for all of us and my heart goes out to those families battling cancer at this time. Supporting Wessex Cancer Trust was an easy decision. ONLE launched in Winchester and we feel a deep attachment to the city and the amazing people who live and work there. Being able to walk through the city at night with friends and fellow supporters will be unforgettable.”
