I also offer a full, end to end self-assessment tax return service for both Making Tax Digital (MTD) and non-MTD sole traders. This includes the preparation, calculation and submission of your quarterly and annual self-assessment tax return submissions.
My experience spans over twenty years of bookkeeping and accounting.
I learnt bookkeeping on the job for no other reason than the company’s bookkeeper. I mean, how hard could it be? VERY hard as it turned out. I went on to taking my bookkeeping exams leading to being a self-employed bookkeeper with my own client base.
I did this alongside being an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) lecturer in Further Education for five years. This is where my love of training and development burst into life.
More recently, I owned a generalist digital accounting practice covering all bases of bookkeeping and tax compliance. This is where my interest in accounting software flourished. I continued to complete my self-assessment tax return qualification through my professional body – the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).
I am an ICB licensed practice, and I partner with an Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Chartered Accountant for all my self-assessment clients. This ensures all self-assessment clients receive a two-tier service of checking – once by me and once by the ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
